We are a small, growing team dedicated to building the next generation of tools for managing, analyzing and understanding large, multi-dimensional datasets generated in life sciences research and biomedicine. Founded in late 2005, we are the commercial arm of the Open Microscopy Environment, an open source data specification and software development project that builds tools for managing biological data. OME's tools are released under the GPL, and Glencoe Software provides commercial access to these tools and performs customization work based on the OME foundation. OME's Bio-Formats library and OMERO are the foundations for PerkinElmer's Columbus™ data management application, the Journal of Cell Biology's JCB DataViewer and ASCB's CELL Library.
